49 CFR 383.115(c) ("off-tracking, response to steering"); AAMVA CDL Manual Section 6.1.6 "Turn Wide," p. 6-3

Why This Matters

Off-tracking is why a truck that looks like it has plenty of room to turn can still run over a curb or a pedestrian waiting at a corner. Recognizing it is the first step to compensating for it correctly.
