You inspect a small package and see a black-and-white square-on-point (diamond) marking with no text inside it, rather than an 'ORM-D' marking or a full hazard class placard. What does this marking tell you?

Regulation
49 CFR 172.315 (Limited Quantity marking)
Why This Matters
Limited Quantity shipments are common — retail goods, small chemical samples — and recognizing this marking tells a driver the package was shipped under reduced requirements. It is not the same thing as 'not hazardous,' and it is not the old ORM-D marking some older training material still references.
