About Us
I'm Chris. I started driving box trucks in 1999 at 19 years old. I owned a couple of box trucks in my early 20's. Then I spent several years doing AAA towing before a friend with a fleet of dump trailers helped me get my Class A using his Mack CL with an 18-speed and East triaxle dump trailer, hauling contaminated dirt to landfills in New England.
Back then, getting a CDL was simple: study, take your written test, practice, then take your road test. There was no "Theory" required. Things have changed.
Since getting my Class A in 2007 I have run 53-foot reefer trailers, lowbeds loaded with heavy equipment, day cabs, sleeper cabs, tri-axle dump trucks doing paving, tag trailers with equipment, roll-offs, and some hazmat stuff.
These days I drive fire apparatus, including tankers. I am a state fire instructor and the board chair and lead instructor for Plaistow Junior Firefighters, a 501(c)(3) youth fire program in New Hampshire.
I built ELDT.IO because I watched new drivers get charged $100 to $249 for a theory course that is, honestly, a formality you have to check off before your skills test. The theory matters. The price does not have to be that high. Fifteen dollars, or as low as $8 in bulk, covers the hosting and FMCSA reporting. That is the whole business model.
I also hold a Massachusetts hoisting engineer license and a paralegal certificate from Boston University, which is why the regulatory pages on this site cite the actual CFR instead of someone's summary of it.
My LinkedIn is public: linkedin.com/in/cfnesbitt. Questions go to info@eldt.io. I answer them myself.
I am also certified in Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations under NFPA 1072, which is part of why the hazmat course on this site goes into the real material instead of treating it as a formality. My certifications are issued by the State of New Hampshire, and you don't have to take my word for any of it: here is my official state certification transcript.
ELDT.IO is operated by Kris Naz, LLC, Hampton, NH 03842.
Questions people ask
Is ELDT.IO run by a real driver?
Yes. Class A since 2007. I have driven Macks with 18-speeds, 53-foot reefer trailers, lowbeds, dump trucks, roll-offs, tag trailers, and fire apparatus including tankers. I wrote this course from experience, not from a conference room.
How do I reach someone if I have a problem?
Email info@eldt.io. I answer it myself.
Is the $15 really the full price?
Yes. One payment, no subscription, no upsell. It covers hosting and FMCSA reporting. That is the whole business model.
