Privacy Policy

Effective October 10, 2026. ELDT.IO is operated by Kris Naz, LLC. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Who we are

ELDT.IO is operated by Kris Naz, LLC, a registered FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) theory provider. You can reach us at info@eldt.io.

Information we collect

When you create an account and purchase a course, we collect:

  • Account information: name, username, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
  • CDL-specific information: date of birth, driver's license number and state, and phone number. We collect this because it is the information FMCSA requires to match your completion record to you in the Training Provider Registry. We do not use it for any other purpose.
  • Billing information: your payment is processed entirely by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details. We do receive and store your PayPal payer name, payer email, and transaction ID so we can match your payment to your account and handle any refund or support request.
  • Mailing address: collected only if you provide it, used for billing records.
  • Course progress: which units you have completed, your checkpoint and assessment answers, and your completion/certificate status.
  • Technical information: standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, referring page) and analytics data through Google Analytics and Google Ads, including conversion tracking for completed purchases.

How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and deliver course content
  • To report your ELDT theory completion to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, which is required by federal law (49 CFR Part 380) and is the entire purpose of the course
  • To generate and deliver your certificate of completion
  • To process payment, prevent duplicate charges, and handle refunds
  • To send you account-related email (password resets, completion confirmations, receipts)
  • To respond to support requests
  • To measure site performance and advertising conversion through Google Analytics and Google Ads

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your date of birth, license number, or license state for marketing.

Who we share information with

  • FMCSA Training Provider Registry: your name and completion status are reported here because federal law requires it. This is not optional and is the core function of the service.
  • PayPal: processes all payments on our behalf. Their handling of your payment data is governed by PayPal's own privacy policy.
  • Google (Analytics and Ads): receives site usage and conversion data. You can opt out of Google's advertising tracking through Google Ads Settings.
  • Affiliate and partner tracking: if you arrived through a partner link, we record which partner referred you so we can pay their commission. This does not involve sharing your personal information with the partner.

We do not share your information with any other third party, and we never sell it.

How long we keep your information

We keep your account and completion records indefinitely, because FMCSA Training Provider Registry completion records do not expire and you may need to prove your completion years later. Payment transaction records are kept for standard accounting and tax purposes. You can request account deletion at any time; see below.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies for session login (keeping you signed in), and for Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure traffic and ad performance. These are standard, industry-common tools. We do not use tracking for purposes beyond site analytics and advertising measurement.

Data security

Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Payment card details are never transmitted to or stored on our servers; PayPal handles all of that directly. The site is served over HTTPS. As with any online service, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard precautions.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, or request account deletion by emailing info@eldt.io. Note that we are required to retain the fact that an ELDT completion was reported to FMCSA; we cannot delete that record from the federal registry, as we do not control it.

Children's privacy

ELDT theory training is for CDL applicants, who under federal law must be at least 18 (21 for interstate driving). This service is not directed at or intended for use by anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
