MC-331 is used only for liquid foodstuffs, never for hazardous materials

Cargo Tank Specifications & Equipment Test

✗

Not quite.

Wrong. This reverses the two specifications; MC-306 is the common liquid tanker, not a gas tanker.

The correct answer is B: MC-331, used for pressurized gases like propane; MC-306 is the common liquid tanker for products like gasoline and diesel.

✓

Correct!

Correct. The AAMVA manual identifies MC306 as the common cargo tank for liquids such as gasoline and diesel, and MC331 as the common cargo tank for gases such as pressurized propane.

✗

Not quite.

Wrong. They are distinct specifications built for different products and pressures; a liquid tanker and a pressurized-gas tanker have different construction requirements, not just different paint.

The correct answer is B: MC-331, used for pressurized gases like propane; MC-306 is the common liquid tanker for products like gasoline and diesel.

✗

Not quite.

Wrong. MC-331 tanks are a standard specification for hazardous pressurized gases like propane; they are not limited to non-hazardous foodstuffs.

The correct answer is B: MC-331, used for pressurized gases like propane; MC-306 is the common liquid tanker for products like gasoline and diesel.
