Endorsement Requirements & Disqualification Rules

9 free questions, part of the Passenger (P) Endorsement CDL practice test

A CDL and passenger (P) endorsement are required to drive any bus designed to seat 16 or more people including the driver. Earning the endorsement means passing the general knowledge test plus the passenger endorsement knowledge test under 49 CFR 383.111 and 383.117(a), and an air brakes test too if the bus has air brakes. Violating an out-of-service order while driving a bus carries steeper disqualification penalties than it does for most other vehicles, under 49 CFR 383.51(e). ELDT.io has 9 free practice questions on these CDL passenger endorsement requirements.
